Banga dredgers modus operandi: Save the rivers, save Bangladesh.

Banga was established on 18th August 2002 with a fleet of two dredgers, to date the current fleet stands at 16 core vessels along with all supporting craft with 3 new dredgers set to be launched by mid-2023. The firm primarily operates as a civil contractor for Government tenders with ongoing association with Bangladesh Inland Waterways Transport Authority (BIWTA), Bangladesh Development Water Board (BWDB), Bangladesh Navy. With extensive previous work experience along with currently operational sites of maintenance projects across the nation, Banga has established themselves as one of the forerunners within the industry. Being the first Bangladeshi company to take on an international contract for capital dredging and maintaining the India-Bangladesh river channels of Protocol Routes 1 and 2 in association with Inland Waterway Authority India (IWAI). Another noteworthy current project is the OPBC works of development dredging with maintenance and aids to navigation with installation along inland waterway routes, under World Bank.

Our Objectives

Our core objective is to facilitate and maintain the flourishing network of river systems that flow across the country, aiding commercial transportation and trade both domestic and internationally. Land reclamation, prevention of disastrous soil erosion, embankment works and/or similar riverine infrastructure projects are amongst our repertoire along with other civil industrial construction solutions for both the private and government sectors. With Bangladesh being at the frontline of the approaching implications of rising sea levels through climate change, Banga Dredgers are at the precipice of rising to the challenges ahead in the future, paving the way for sustainable economic growth and holistic development. We are proud to be custodians of the magnificent water bodies that circumnavigate our great nation.
